GHOST BUSTING IN A P-CAR Jan , 25th, 2020

SATURDAY DRIVE OUT TO GHOST BUSTERS P-CAR EVENT

We will all meet at the McCamey Stripes in McCamey,Tx  at 200 pm Saturday January 25th,  and then proceed on over to Girvin, Texas Ghost town.  We will spend about an hour or so there,  making pics,  talking stories, and sharing tall tales while looking for spirits and ghosts.  We will make an abundance of pics to go into Pano and into our own website.

Southern District, contact Monty, (e addy above) to be informed of their departure time and convoy route.

  

Northern District, we will depart Stripes 82d St, and Brownfield Hwy (Wolfforth) promptly at 12 noon. 

 

Insurance forms will be completed prior to departure.  

This event is OPEN to all P-car drivers, members or not, former members too.  Since there is more than 100 Ghost Town and Sites in the Panhandle and West Texas, we will visit 2-3 more this year, you can see more about Girvins, Texas if you go to "Texas Ghost Towns, Girvins, Texas or West Texas to see the whole list"

We had a great time ghost hunting in Girvin, TX. The Northern District of our region met up with the Southern District in McCamey, TX and drove over to Girvin, TX to see some ghosts. We had eleven total cars and thirteen attendees. It was a fun event and it was great for both districts to spend some time together.  It’s never a bad day when you’re driving a P-Car! Girvin is listed in Lindsay Baker's Ghost Towns of Texas.  According to the book, Girvin was named for a ranch that was there when the railroad came through. It served as a shipping point for cattle and as a receiving point for oil drilling supplies. Mr. Lindsay reports that the number of students increased so fast that the new brick school was…
